गम-ऐ-गुल्ज़ार (Gardens of grief)

ऐ दोस्त, गम-ऐ-गुल्ज़ार को मत देख,
वरना अपनी माशूका, मौत, की याद आएगी।
जिंदगी के मज़े लुटले, के है ये मौजूद जब तक,

Aye dost gum-e-gulzaar ko mat dekha kar,
warna apni mashuka 'maut' ki yaad ayegi.
Zindagi ke mazze lut le ki hai ye maujood jab tak,
Kyuki jab hoga tu uski baho me tab iss zindagi ki kahani hi usse sunane me kaam ayegi...

English translation:

Oh friend, ignore the gardens of grief,
