Movies to watch before you die

Movies to watch before you die. I think this line is searched on Google under three circumstances; first if you are a super movie freak, second if you are fortunate enough to know, you are going to die, and third when you are super depressed and want something to cheer you up. If you are not one of these three categories then too I will insist you to go through this blog and do watch the mentioned movies.

It’s a wonderful life
You actually realize the fact, when you finish watching this evergreen masterpiece by Frank Capra. And, if you happen to belong to one of the mentioned categories then you certainly have found what you were looking for!

If you crave for more go for the next name on the list.

Forest Gump
From the opening scene, which is quite wonderful, itself I was dumbstruck to the amazing filming. But, Robert Zemeckis's direction is not the only thing that promises to touch ones heart. The incredible plot will make you involve in this amazing person’s life story so much that your heart will start pounding with the flow of emotions in the movie.

Till the day I am confused for single thing. But the same goes with life you never completely understand it!

Trouble in paradise
If life is bliss then it is paradise. And, if there is a trouble in paradise then the situation becomes really comic. You ever said you don't like black and white movies? Try this Ernst Lubitsch's piece of work!

Dasvidaniya
The word literally means, “Good Bye.”

The film portrays the best way to say good bye to life! But don’t wait for the end, because by each passing moment you too are dying. Start living before you die, completely. A film like this makes an life-lasting impact. Though the film was failure at box office I would say, Hats-off! to Shashant Shah and group.

Life of Pi
I tell you to watch it, not what to see in it! That is your personal call, your personal understanding and your personal journey.

Ang Lee, cast and crew had successfully made it to the pages of history by this movie.

The Matrix

"What is real?  How do you define real?  If you are talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the matrix is.  You have to see it for yourself.

Let me share just one piece of information.
There was a time when I watched it every Saturday and Sunday for months (around 6), until one day a friend borrowed the VCD to never return.
It also happens to be the first movie I downloaded to watch in Blu-ray, and it took months on the slow broadband connection. This is one of the best movies ever made (at least according to me).

Just two words: Watch It!

The movie really makes you wonder about the talents of writer and director, Larry and Andy Wachowski.

The Fountain
Once you have seen all the above mentioned movies you are ready for the fountain. This one is on the list just to play with your mind and mess around with all those preconceived notions you have about everything. You have to figure out the story yourself, literally.

Darren Aronofsky will definitely leave you awe-struck and confused!

Fight Club
When you act coward and run away from yourself you become frustrated and you fight with others. But, when you act valiant and enjoy the battle of life you don’t fight, at all. Make peace with yourself and join the Fight Club!

Afterall David Fincher is, David Fincher.

A Beautiful Mind
The Oscar winning film has off-course won it for a reason. The true story of a Nobel Prize winner John Nash is really a heartwarming experience. It reminds us that every moment we live, we are writing the script of our movie. We just have to make sure, it is worth watching!

Who would have made it better than Ron Howard!

Big Fish
It is a storyteller’s life story in his own words. You got it. It is bound to be interesting!

The story teller, Tim Burton's art of story telling is best revealed in this tale.

Three Idiots
“Life is about learning!” that is what those bore looking philosophers say. But, Ranchod Das Shayamal Das Chan Chad has a completely different take on it. The man with the majestic presence, who broke every rule that was ever made and then too emerged to be a victor, suddenly vanished into thin air. Why, when, where and how. Watch it to find out!

This piece of Rajkumar Hirani 's work also deserves standing ovation like his other works.

When you done watching these movies stop watching life on the screen and start living it!

The Liar’s Truth

I am an advertiser, a liar by profession. My job is to lie to people. Make them believe that they are unhappy, incomplete, left out, incompetent and boring. Then offer them a product, service or idea that will help them to become happy, complete, superior, acceptable and loveable. I tell them that there is a way out of these miseries, that they can colour their dull lives and fill-up their incompleteness by goods and services offered by people who pay me.

Lying is a tough job. I have to constantly keep on inventing new reasons and theories to make them believe, they are unhappy and incomplete.
People live in a world where they undergo self-hypnosis by the omnipresent information designed by people like me. People constantly try to find reasons for being happy and as a result find misery.

The truth is: You do not need anything to be happy or complete. No reason is required. The moment you stop your constant struggle of finding a reason to be happy, you realize; you already are that you seek to be. Misery dwells on the reason, bliss is free. The search gives birth to the misery. The search of, what I call, the “about” factor. You want to know, “what you are happy about?” That is where you fall in pit.

Lord Gautama stated, “You already are everything you want to be!”
He meant, no matter if you want to be rich, prosperous, famous or envied. All you seek is to be happy. That you already are!
You seek happiness in these states and put yourself in illusion that you are unhappy.

Be sensible; stop searching for “about” factor to be happy and complete. Know that you are happy and complete. Break the hypnosis!

Halloween Treat

Welcome dear,
On the eve of this blessed Samhain I would love to scare you. I know you think its difficult. But, you will definitely agree we do enjoy getting scared. That is why we spend hundreds of bucks on buying those tickets to horror flicks. The sad part is they hardly work. So, on this halloween I will list out those horror movies that made an impression on me. Here goes the list.
Note that the order is random and un-specific to ranking, rating or grading.

1. 1408

This movie has made an impact on my mind for some undefinable reason. Whenever I think horror flick, it comes first to my mind.

2. Paranormal Activity

If some movie has made me really scared then it's this one.

3. Drag me to hell

Not a very scary flick but very engaging. Really enjoyed it. Complete entertainer like Bollywood Masala movies, and Indians would love it. It is my friends' favorite.

4. The serpent and the rainbow
Now, thats what I call a movie. The Wes Craven's master piece. The story claims to be based on true story, and I would like to add, 'With fabrications.' But never underrate the great filming. Hats off to Mr.Craven.

5. The eye 10
If you do watch subtitled movies then you must check this out.

6. Grave Encounters
The search for found footage horror movie landed up me with this one. The flow of thrill is not maintained throughout the film though it is good enough.

7. Dead silence
This one was wonderful. With an unexpected end.

8. Tai tong klom
See this one and you will become fan of Thai movies.

9. 'Question mark' or '?'
It was made by few juvenile friends. I had plans to make the first Indian found footage genre horror film, but they made the first move. Not very scary but very very good effort.

10. 13B
The rare, good Indian horror film.

I Hereby end the list. There are many other good films that I have restrained to mention because you might have already watched them. Ya off course! you must have watched '1408' as well. But as I said, it is the first movie that comes to my mind when horror genre is mentioned, and I can watch it multiple times. I listed 'Paranormal Activity' because I think, no horror movie list can be complete without it.

PLEASE DO SUGGEST ME YOUR FAVORITE HORROR MOVIEs!
So that, even I can enjoy thrills of fear ;)
